About the 169e Global Tariff Query service

Who We Are

169e Global Tariff Query is a free, independent information service for importers, exporters, cross-border e-commerce sellers and anyone who needs to understand customs duties before shipping goods across borders.

We maintain one of the largest tariff information databases of its kind, covering more than 200 countries and regions, hundreds of bilateral trade routes, and seven major product categories - from electronics and automobiles to machinery and consumer goods.

What We Provide

  • Tariff Calculator - estimate import duties between two markets using the latest available rates.
  • Country Tariff Profiles - average, maximum and minimum duty levels for 200+ countries and regions, with key trade agreements and economic context.
  • Product Category Guides - in-depth duty guides for electronic products, automobiles & parts, agricultural products, chemical products, textiles, machinery & mechanical appliances and luxury goods, including representative HS codes and FAQ sections.
  • Bilateral Route Pages - tariff relationships between major trading partners, for example USA to China or Germany to the United Kingdom.

Data Sources & Methodology

Rates shown on this site are compiled from publicly available national tariff schedules, WTO publications and customs announcements. We summarize most-favoured-nation (MFN) applied rates at the category level: the average, maximum and minimum ad valorem duties for representative HS chapters in each product group.

Our editorial team reviews and refreshes the data on an ongoing basis, and every guide page shows the date it was last updated. Where a free trade agreement offers preferential rates, we note that actual duty depends on the exact HS subheading and on rules of origin.

How to Use This Site

  • Use the tariff calculator for a quick duty estimate on a specific route.
  • Browse all countries to open the tariff profile of any market.
  • From each country profile, follow the category links to read a detailed duty guide with HS codes and FAQs.
